Doctors of
internal medicine, also called internists or hospitalists,
focus on adult medicine and the prevention and treatment of
adult diseases. At Little River Healthcare System, our
internal medicine specialist is specially trained to solve
puzzling diagnostic problems and can manage severe illnesses
and situations where several different illnesses may strike
at the same time. An effort is also made to help patients
gain an understanding of preventative medicine, men’s and
women’s health, substance abuse, and mental health, as well
as effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears,
skin, nervous system and reproductive organs.
