HOSPITAL AUXILIARY SPREADS HOLIDAY SPIRIT
Rockdale, Texas (December 4, 2006) – The Rockdale Hospital District Auxiliary met this morning to decorate Richards Memorial Hospital for the holiday season. The holidays are a time to celebrate and the auxiliary hopes their efforts in hanging holiday wreaths and decorations bring joy to those who may have to spend the holidays in the hospital. Sue Ohlswager, hospital auxiliary president, says “this is one of the auxiliary’s favorite traditions, bringing joy and happiness to others is why we are here.” The Garden Club of Rockdale also joined the auxiliary ladies by decorating the traditional Christmas tree in the front lobby of the hospital. Both groups finished the morning off with a soup and salad luncheon at the hospital. Richards Memorial Hospital CEO, Jeff Madison, says “the hospital appreciates all the things the auxiliary does and all the efforts the ladies put toward making Richards Memorial Hospital great for our communities.”
The Rockdale Hospital Auxiliary will be holding a Christmas Tea on Wednesday, December 6 from 3-5pm at the Patterson Community Center in Rockdale, Texas. The event will be catered and will include live entertainment and an art exhibit.
