Rockdale, Texas (August 25, 2009) – Little River Healthcare System is proud to announce the addition of a full-time family medicine physician and allergy specialist to the LRHS team of healthcare providers.  Deborah Neitsch, MD will be joining the team at Little River Medical Clinic – Rockdale on September 2nd as a full-time family medicine physician, which will open more appointment times for our patients.  In addition to the 15 specialties currently available, Ronald Cox, MD, Allergist, will begin seeing patients at LRMC-Rockdale on Friday, September 4th.

Deborah Neitsch, MD received her Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University before continuing her education at Texas Tech University School of Medicine where she received her Doctor of Medicine.  Dr. Neitsch completed her Family Practice Residency at Good Samaritan Family Practice in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Neitsch is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and the Travis County Medical Society.  Dr. Neitsch is very excited to begin providing medical care to Rockdale and Milam County.

 

Ronald Cox, MD attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed a residency program at Mt. Carmel Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Cox also received postgraduate training in Allergy and Immunology and Clinical Laboratory Immunology at Wilford Hall Medical Center.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology.  He is a member of the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.  Dr. Cox served as the Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Wright Patterson Medical Center for four years and also served on the teaching faculty at Wright State University Internal Medicine department.  Dr. Cox resides in Austin with his wife and children.

“We have made it a priority at Little River Healthcare System to provide our rural communities with excellent healthcare and increased access to primary and specialty care physicians.  We are very excited to bring another family medicine physician and specialty physician to our community, especially so close to the onset of allergy season.  We will now be able to offer allergy testing locally at LRMC-Rockdale.  Previously patients had to travel approximately 50 miles to receive this testing. Both of these individuals are expertly trained in their field and will be an asset to our organization and community” stated Jeremy Riney, LRHS CEO/Administrator.
