Memorial Hospital Auxiliary
Volunteers
are crucial to the success of LRHS Richards Memorial
Hospital. As a volunteer, you are an important part of our
team and bring a special, personal touch to patient care at
Richards Memorial Hospital. RMH Auxiliary members are all
ages and can be involved in a variety of activities to
assist with patient care, both directly and indirectly.
This is an excellent opportunity to give back to your
community, help others, and learn more about the healthcare
industry.
Each year,
the RMH Auxiliary chooses a large project to work on that
will help improve quality of care at Richards Memorial
Hospital. In 2006, the auxiliary donated a beautiful gazebo
to the assisted living garden area. The gazebo provides a
cool, shaded area for residents to visit with family and
friends. To contribute to each project, the auxiliary holds
a bi-annual cookie sale held in the fall and spring in which
members bake homemade cookies and sale throughout the
community. The first annual RMH Auxiliary Christmas Tea was
held in 2006 and showcased local artists and musicians. In
addition to assisting patients, these are a few ways an
auxiliary member can volunteer.
In
alignment with the LRHS mission, the RMH auxiliary believes
the education of our community to be a top priority.
Therefore, each year the auxiliary awards a $500 scholarship
to a college-bound member of our community.
Volunteers
are important members of the community who share their time,
talents, and passions with our patients and their families,
and it makes all the difference. To learn more about
