Clyde Smith, MD |
Dr.
Clyde Smith received his Doctor of Medicine degree
from St. Louis University Medical School and
completed an internship at the University of Texas
Medical Branch. He went on to complete residency
training at University of Chicago’s Michael Reese
Medical Center and the University of Texas Medical
Branch where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Smith
is board certified by the American Board of Surgery
and the American College of Surgeons of which he is
a Diplomat. He has completed additional educational
training in laparoscopy, laser surgery and advanced
trauma life support. Dr. Smith is a member of
numerous medical societies including the
International Society of Surgery, Surgical Society
of Austin, Texas Surgical Society, Texas Medical
Association, and the American Medical Association.
Common procedures and surgeries Dr. Smith performs
include breast surgery for lumps and cancer, skin
lesion removal, abdominal hernias, gallbladder and
appendix removal and colonoscopy and EGD screening.
In addition, Dr. Smith is a wound care specialist,
treating and healing extensive wounds. |
